Metra & Metrasat

PT Multimedia Nusantara (Metra), a strategic investment holding company, was positioned by PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom) to expand business in the scope of telco's adjacent industries. 

Metra was established in May 28th 1997 as operating company with a Pay TV business portfolio. In 2003, Telkom accumulated 99,99% of holding of Metra and started to improve business portfolio Calling Card based on Switch and VoIP. And in 2005, Metra started to expand business in the satellite data communication services scope using Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT). 

In 2008, Metra doing business structure transformation from operating company be holding company, with the result that the satellite data communication services (VSAT) management is positioned to become the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), called as Metrasat. In October 2012, Metrasat changed from SBU to Division. 

Metrasat has grown into one of the organizers of the satellite based network provider that able to give contribution to the development and equitable distribution of the national telecommunication infrastructure. Quick, responsive, flexible and high-quality service are our main priority in working, with the result that Metrasat has covered every corner of Indonesia and other country in short time. 

Services range of Metrasat is divided into 14 areas in the entire country (Indonesia) and has succeeded to build more than 10.000 areas in Indonesia and some area in the foreign. 

In carrying out our mission of participate in the national communications development, Metrasat will keep trying the best to become dynamic, flexible, and qualified supporting telecommunications industry.
